On February 23, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks with visiting Foreign Minister Sebatian Anefal of the Federated States of Micronesia in the office building of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations, as well as international and regional issues of common interest.

Li made positive comments on bilateral relations and indicated that to strengthen friendly cooperation between both sides conforms to their common interest. China would like to make joint efforts with Micronesia to push bilateral relations to one new level after another.

Anefal reaffirmed that the Micronesian government would like to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and will continue to resolutely pursue the one-China policy and not conduct any official exchanges with the Taiwan authorities.
