On 6 December 2017, the Chinese Ambassador H. E. Dr. Sun Xianghua held a briefing on the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the think-tanks, scholars and media based in Lesotho. Renowned professors of NUL, the director of LTV, the executive director of LENA, chief editors, columnists and journalists of the mainstream newspapers including the Public Eye, the Post, the Lesotho Times attended the briefing.
Ambassador Sun made a keynote presentation introducing the great significance, the critical judgments and the far-reaching influences of the 19th National Congress of CPC, and specially highlighted the Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and President Xi's diplomatic thoughts of constructing a community of shared future for mankind and constructing a new form of international relations. Ambassador Sun also pointed out that as the Socialism with Chinese characteristic has entered into a new era, the China-Lesotho Friendship is also ushered into a new era. Both sides should seize this opportunity, and push forward the bilateral practical cooperation to attain to more achievements.
The participants received the briefing with warm responses, extending their warm congratulations for the success of the 19th National Congress of CPC, commending highly the development achievements of China and speaking highly of the diplomatic policies of China at the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Ambassador also answered questions from the audiences, regarding history and construction of CPC, the economic, diplomatic and defense policies of China.
