From 16 June 2017 to 19 June 2017, the 11th Chinese Medical Team in Lesotho provided a charity medical service in Mokhotlong. Led by the team leader Mr. Zou Ran who is also an acupuncturist, all specialists from 11th Chinese Medical Team attended this activity, including physician, orthopaedist, obstetrician and gynecologist, radiologist and so on. The doctors offered consultations and treatment for common and prevalent diseases such as flu, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, gynecological diseases, etc., which included checkup for blood pressure and blood sugar levels, testing and counseling of HIV, ECG examination and ultrasound examination. All medication administered was provided free of charge.

This charity medical service benefited around 300 local people and received sincere appreciation from the local community. The community was grateful to the doctors who have demonstrated true humanity by leaving their home country to come and serve the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Some of the patients said: "We are very thankful for the Chinese Medical Team for coming to Lesotho to the Basotho nation, because you have seen that there is a need. We would like to convey our sincere gratitude to the Chinese Medical Team for coming here. There are some places which are not easy to access and people need to travel long distances to get some service which indeed they need to pay for, while they are not financially stable. So for this kind of free service we get, we would like to say 'Thank you, Chinese Medical Team'. We do believe they are going to help us a lot."
