Chinese Embassy in Lesotho Holds Photo Exhibition and Reception of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War
On September 4, the Chinese Embassy in Lesotho hosted a photo exhibition and reception titled “The Unforgettable War of Resistance” to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Over 200 participants attended the event, including the Hon.President of the Senate, Hon.Speaker of the National Assembly, 7 Hon.Cabinet Ministers, former senior officials, members of Parliament, senior government officials, as well as representatives from the business, academic, and media sectors, the Chinese community in Lesotho, and Chinese enterprises.

Ambassador Yang Xiaokun highlighted China’s tremendous contribution and the global significance of the War of Resistance. He stressed that the Communist Party of China advocated the establishment of the national united front against Japanese aggression, and underscored that Taiwan’s return was an integral part of the post-war international order. He also elaborated on the importance of the Global Governance Initiative.

On behalf of the Lesotho government, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon.Pitso Lesaoana highly commended China’s historic role and significant contribution in the war, expressed Lesotho’s warm welcome and active support for the Global Governance Initiative, and reaffirmed Lesotho’s firm commitment to the one-China principle and its support for China’s complete reunification.
Ambassador Yang also accompanied the guests to view the photo exhibition and watch highlights of the military parade held on September 3.
