Effective from the publication of this notice, requirements for the application of Health Declaration Code (HDC) for passengers travelling from Lesotho to China are updated as follows:

I. Test Requirements

1)  Passengers are required to take 1 PCR test for HDC within 48 hours before departure of the direct flight to China and then apply for HDC with a negative test report.

2)  Passengers can select the place of departure or the place of transit to take the PCR test within 48 hours before departure of the direct flight to China. Passengers shall apply for HDC to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the country or city where the PCR test is taken. Check in and board the direct flight to China with valid Health Code.

3)  All tests conducted and reports issued by a local legal test facility are acceptable, for example: Elitepath and Pathcare of Maseru Private Hospital (Add: Qoqolotsana Road, Thetsane, Maseru West.Tel:+266 2232 3491) .

4)  Passengers who had an infection history, close contact, suspected symptoms, or presumptive positive and equivocal PCR test results, is also required to apply for Health Code with 1 negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before departure of the direct flight to China.

5)  Requirements on applying Health Codes in transit countries can be found at the website of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the relevant country.

II.How to apply                     

After obtaining the above-mentioned test report, Passengers are required to log in the application page at https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ or scan the QR code below, to apply at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate where the test is taken for Green Health Declaration Code with the "HDC" mark, and upload the following documents:

1) Negative test report.

2) Passport info page, Chinese visa or resident permit.

3) Itinerary or air ticket.

Passengers upon approval by the Chinese Embassy will obtain a Green Code of Health Declaration Form with "HDC" mark for a certain validity period. All passengers are required to board the plane within the validity period.
