As per the latest policy of COVID-19, requirements for those who need to travel to China from Lesotho are updated as follows:

I. Test Requirements 

1) Passengers departing from Lesotho to China must take 2 nucleic acid tests within 48 hours before departure from Lesotho. Each test must be conducted at different test facilities, with an interval of more than 24 hours, and the second test conducted within 24 hours before departure.

2) Those who have been diagnosed or tested positive of COVID-19 should provide two negative reports of nucleic acid tests conducted with an interval of no less than 24 hours, followed by 14 days of personal health monitoring, before taking the 2 nucleic acid tests prior to departure.

3) Those who have close contact with confirmed or suspected cases or have suspected symptoms of COVID-19 need to go through 5-day personal health monitoring before taking the 2 nucleic acid tests prior to departure.

2. Testing Laboratories 

1) All tests conducted and reports issued by a legal test facility in Lesotho are acceptable.

2) Elitepath and Pathcare of Maseru Private Hospital (Add: Qoqolotsana Road, Thetsane, Maseru West..Tel:+266 2232 3491) are recommended.

3.How to apply

After obtaining above-mentioned test reports, log in the application page by visiting https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ or scan the QR code below, to apply at the Chinese Embassy in Lesotho for Green Health Declaration Code with the "HDC" mark by uploading the following:  photos of 2 negative reports of both nucleic acid tests ( For those who have been diagnosed or tested positive of COVID-19, 2 more negative reports of nucleic acid tests done after being diagnosed or tested positive of COVID-19 as required above are also needed), passport, air ticket or itinerary.

Foreign passengers upon approval by the Chinese Embassy will obtain a Green Code of Health Declaration Form with "HDC" mark for a certain validity period. All passengers are required to travel within the validity period.

4.Others

1) China-bound passengers from Lesotho must take nucleic acid tests and apply for Health Code both in Lesotho and the transit country with direct flight to China.

2) Requirements on applying Health Codes in transit countries can be found at the website of the Chinese embassy in the relevant country.

5. This notice will come into effect on 5 July, 2022. Previous relevant notices on the website of the Embassy shall be repealed simultaneously.
