On 21 February, at the invitation of the Hololo Development Foundation (HDF) of Lesotho, Ambassador Yang Xiaokun attended the 2025 HDF BACK TO SCHOOL at Bokoro High School in the Hololo constituency where the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Lesotho is from. The event was initiated by HDF with the aim of promoting local development by assisting students in financial difficulties to continue their studies. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Lesotho, representatives from over 20 schools, and local residents participated in the event.

Ambassador Yang introduced the achievements of China's education development and the concept of poverty alleviation through education. He emphasized that China and Lesotho have maintained long-term cooperation in the field of education. China is willing to provide more opportunities for students from Lesotho to study in China, jointly writing a new chapter in the China-Lesotho strategic partnership.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Lesotho and student representatives expressed their gratitude to China for its strong support and assistance to Lesotho's education sector. They said that generations of young students have witnessed the friendship between China and Lesotho, as well as the development of bilateral relations. They will not waste their time,but contribute to promoting the strategic partnership and mutual beneficial practical cooperation between the two countries.
