On September 17, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Lesotho held a Mid-Autumn Festival reception themed "Under the Full Moon of Mid-Autumn, Together Overseas in Reunion—2024 Mid-Autumn Reception." More than 60 attendees, including representatives from Chinese communities and Chinese enterprises, Taiwanese compatriots, as well as the medical aid team, gathered to celebrate the festival.
Ambassador Yang Xiaokun delivered an enthusiastic Mid-Autumn speech, extending festival greetings to the compatriots. He reviewed the historical achievements of the People's Republic of China within 75 years since its founding, and introduced the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party. He presented the fruitful outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and looked forward to the strategic partnership and development prospects between China and Lesotho. Ambassador Yang highly praised the contributions of Chinese community in Lesotho to deepening friendly relations, promoting socio-economic development, and spreading traditional Chinese culture, and emphasized that the Embassy would continue to provide services and effectively safeguard the rights and interests of overseas Chinese in Lesotho.
The atmosphere at the reception was festive, warm, and harmonious, with attendees sharing friendships, discussing work, and enjoying a wonderful time of reunion.
