On August 22, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Lesotho held a youth reception and a screening of films on China-Africa friendship. Over 70 attendees, including Lesotho students who have studied or will study in China and youth representatives from various sectors, participated in the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Yang Xiaokun expressed that the youth friends who will study in China in September this year are very fortunate. They will experience the grandeur of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and feel the atmosphere of China-Africa friendship and the fruitful outcomes of cooperation. He encouraged the youth to serve as envoys of friendship between China and Lesotho, continuously spreading positive energy, enhancing mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries, especially the youth, and contributing to the advancement of China-Lesotho relations.

At the reception, two youth representatives from Lesotho shared their remarks and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the scholarships provided by China. They fondly recalled their wonderful experiences studying in China, eagerly anticipated their upcoming studies in China, and pledged to remember their role as envoys of the China-Lesotho friendship; working to build a bridge for mutual understanding between the youth of both nations.
