On July 11, 2024, H.E. Yang Xiaokun, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Lesotho, presented his credentials to His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho.

Ambassador Yang conveyed to King Letsie III warm greetings and good wishes from President Xi Jinping, and emphasized the honor and responsibility of his mission to Lesotho. He commended Lesotho's steadfast adherence to the one-China principle and expressed readiness to work closely with Lesotho side to enhance cooperation across various fields, thus opening a new chapter in bilateral relations.

His Majesty King Letsie III asked Ambassador Yang to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping, and welcomed his assumption of office and expressed gratitude for China's longstanding assistance and support to Lesotho's economic and social development. He underscored Lesotho's high regard for developing relations with China, affirming adherence to the one-China principle and commitment to deepening practical cooperation across various field to advance bilateral relations.

Ambassador Yang arrived in Lesotho on June 28 and presented a copy of his credentials on July 3.
