On July 3, Ambassador-Designate Yang Xiaokun presented a copy of his credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Lesotho, Hon. Lejone Mpotjoane.

Ambassador Yang expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Lesotho for the warm welcome and thoughtful arrangements extended to him upon assuming his duties. He express his wishes and confidence to work hand in hand with Lesotho side, under the guidance of Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, as well as China's policy of sincerity, real results, affinity, and good faith towards Africa, aiming to elevate China-Lesotho friendly relations and practical cooperation to new heights across various fields.

Minister Mpotjoane warmly welcomed Ambassador Yang's assumption of office in Lesotho, affirming Lesotho's strong commitment to developing relations with China on the basis of the one-China principle. He also assured full support and facilitation for Ambassador Yang in his new role. Lesotho stands ready to further deepening bilateral relations and work together with China to promote practical cooperation for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.

Ambassador Yang arrived in Lesotho on June 28.
