On 28October 2019, H.E. Mr. Lei Kezhong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Lesotho metwith Hon. Mamonaheng Mokitimi, President of the Senate of Lesotho. Mr. Selete Molete, Clerk of the Senate was also present at the meeting.

H.E. Mr. Lei indicated that China and Lesotho have been enjoying a profound traditional friendship, extensive exchanges with mutual respect and cooperation with fruitful results in many fields including the legislation field for a long time. Ambassador Lei pointed out that China attached great importance to the development of China-Lesotho relationsand wished to work together with the Lesotho side to strengthen the bilateral friendship.

Hon. Mokitimi spoke highly of the China-Lesotho traditional friendship and extend sincere thanks for the selfless assistance over the years, she also wished to work together to strengthen the exchanges between the two countries' legislatures and further consolidate the bilateral friendship.
