On 26 September 2019, H.E. Ambassador Lei Kezhong paid a courtesy call on Hon. Deputy Prime Minister Monyane Moleleki.

Ambassador Lei expressed thanks and appreciation to Hon. Moleleki for the latter's longterm efforts and contribution to the development of the China-Lesotho friendly relations. He indicated that China attaches great importance to the development of China-Lesotho relations, and would like to take full advantage of the opportunity of implementing the Belt and Road Initiative incepted by the Chinese President H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and the consensus of leaders from both countries to deepen and consolidate the bilateral cooperation in various fields, and bring more benefits to both peoples.

Hon. Moleleki extended warm welcome to Ambassador Lei. He reminisced with deep affection about the development of the sound China-Lesotho friendship and cooperation. Speaking highly of the China-Lesotho relations, the Hon. expressed gratitude to the assistance from China to Lesotho over the years. He also wished to work with Ambassador Lei to enhance the bilateral cooperation onto a higher level.
