Chinese Ambassador to Lesotho Lei Kezhong Met with Foreign Minister Lesego Makgothi

On 17 September 2019, H.E. Mr. Lei Kezhong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Lesotho, met in his residence with Hon. Lesego Makgothi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations. Mr. Song Changqing, Political Counsellor of the Embassy and Mr. Matete Nena, Director of Asia & Pacific directorate of the Ministry were also present.

Ambassador Lei and Minister Makgothi exchanged views on various issues concerning the China-Lesotho bilateral relations. The two agreed that, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China as well as the 25th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Lesotho, both sides shall take full advantage of implementing the outcomes of the 2018 FOCAC Beijing Summit and the consensus of the Leaders of the two countries, enhance the bilateral exchanges and practical cooperation, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, and elevate the China-Lesotho relations up to a new level.
